Go FUND ME GOAL UPDATE
I just wanted to thank you all for the overwhelming support from our community. My family and I cannot express what this means for us to see people from all areas and eras of our collected lives offer donations to ease the burdens that tragedies like this come with.
Recently, we shared this with Megan and told her she had nothing to worry about. There are so many people that love her and her boys far beyond her immediate family and will continue to love on those boys for the rest of their lives. She reacted as we did: with some relief and lots and lots of tears.
Hospice care has been nothing short of amazing. The nurses are so kind and thoughtful and are treating Meggie with the care you would wish for any of your loved ones at the end of their lives. Meanwhile, Megan has been surrounded by her kids, her mother, her aunt, her siblings and their significant others. Maybe her dog will make an appearance too. We are watching old musicals, reading her your kind notes, and giving her everything we can to comfort her like donuts, cold compresses, and - always - a hand to hold.
